    Shitloads i'd have thought.
My mate owns the house that was passed down from her parents in brixton. Not remotely interested in selling despite the fact she'd be quids in. She's a proper working class cockney and loves london. Fair play.

Please tell me what the Brexit Party will do should it ever win the election. What will it do for Goldthorpe? Please don't spout the non answer that all the established parties are crap because if you do you'll be spouting the same empty rhetoric that Farage spouts. Meaningless. What will the Brexit Party do? How do they intend to help the people of goldthorpe? If you and the people of goldthorpe (whom you seem to know so much about) are fed up and embittered with the situation re: Politics I suggest you think very carefully about lending your support to a gentleman of Mr Farages persuasion. He will not stand in your corner and defend you I suspect. Rather, he and his acolytes will use you to get into power and then piss you down the drain without thinking about it.

I'm afraid you're mistaken as to how IHT is calculated.

Ignoring any other allowances, you pay 40% on the value of the pot over £325000. So the first 325k is free. It's yours.

As it stands at the moment, mam and dad can pass on a house valued at 900k or so without paying IHT.

So I wouldn't worry too much.

The only plus from all this is when we have a Boris government and the EU money is no longer available in our area and the working class Brexit headbangers have seen the back of the Eastern European’s, will be the look on their faces when all the money saved from the EU is used to build more infrastructure in the south and tax cuts for the rich and we sign deals which mean more Indian and Chinese workers, while the non eu influx from places like Pakistan continue unabated.

**** me how many times do I have to write this? I dont vote, therefore I dont complain. Dont start questioning me on a party that I couldn't give a **** about. I cant change people's minds, but people in this area are clearly pissed off and I guarantee that the Brexit party will win in this area.

Where did I write that's who I was voting for? I've clearly stated 5 or 6 times now that I dont vote. Somehow I've got nothing but grief off morons all weekend just because I pulled someone on abusing another poster simply because he didn't vote labour.

    Grow up ffs.

The NHS will be gone within 20 years if we carry on down this path. Anyone who can’t see that is just wallowing in complacency. Farage and the disaster capitalists post brexit will see to that.

In which case I hope Jezza and his mates do some tweaking to redress a system that presently enables one infant in a maternity unit to have a far greater chance of a decent life than the infant laid next to them, simply by the fact of their birth and the assets their parents have been able to leave them upon death.

You make your own life by the sweat of your own brow and if by doing so you’ve been able to leave your kids a bit why should anyone take it from them. If you’ve brought your kids up with a decent set of values they’ll do the same. Should you really be having an infant in the first place if you cant provide a decent life ? Why should it be up to the state to provide for kids who’s parents know full well that they cant provide for it other than claiming benefits provided by taxing those who have worked hard to provide for their families ??

Fcukking hell. So Socialism in your eyes is that nobody has to work and everyone is a parasite to society and live on the state.

You aren't making your own life by the sweat of your own brow if you've been born with a mega inheritance to tap into.

Also, I have not suggested that the state pay to bring up anyone's child. However, children do need the provision of proper communal facilities to enhance their development, which we all chip in for, by virtue of taxes.

The Labour Party is not going to prevent you from leaving your kids "a bit". They haven't suggested they'll remove the basic threshold of 650k for parents to pass down tax free. That's a fair "bit".

I appreciate that there are those who think that the rich should just get richer and be able to keep everything for themselves and their family upon death, and perpetuate an elite at the expense of the vast majority of the population. You may be one of them. Fair enough.

So it’s ok for inherited 2nd 3rd 4th 5th generations to be idle and feckless because they’ve inherited money but people struggling shouldn’t be allowed basic Human functions ?
These people who have inherited and never done a days work out their money in funds that hoovers up more money and resources which prevents people being paid decent wages and care for sick or disabled members .
As I said in an earlier post it’s always the people from poorer backgrounds who are the worst converted Tories .

No, but neither is it abstention from responsibility for providing for your own with the expectation that the state will do it for you. My view simply is that if you cant provide for your kids dint have them until you can. Why should everyone else pay for them through ever increasing ways to tax us ffs ??!!

I agree, but as I said the latest ruse from the comiie think tank will see many ordinary families being stung for a wedge of their properties value to fund the state. All I’m saying is that if the parents of infant 1 cant afford to provide for it then they shouldn't have conceived the little focker. I think someone once said that the trouble with socialists is that they're very good at spending other peoples money.
