I hate this argument. It was even more disgusting 2 years ago to be charging £36 a ticket. Copying a terrible thing from 2 years ago doesn’t make suddenly make it brilliant just because it’s been done and hated before.

I’d argue that we should be chasing those and convincing them that they actually do want to go every week. We need the pricing to get them through the door and the football on the pitch to convince them to stay. Until we are selling out the ground every week then we need to be chasing all potential business.

You make it sound like everyone has a choice. I can assure you the reason I don't get to many games, isn't because I can't be bothered.

They need to raise season ticket prices then the get a season ticket crew might be a little less sanctimonious about people that can’t buy em. It’s only fair so we can compete against other championship clubs right?

And the longer you've had one, the more you pay. We're not a community club, might as well get as much money as possible from those they know will pay, the die hards, those addicted.

Squeeze every drop from our customers.

I think both points exist though and need considering. The casuals perhaps even more so in a business sense as there’s a potential chance of them becoming ST holders. The ones who can’t is more of a moral thing than a business decision.

I used to be a selfish **** with a season ticket, who couldn't see things from other people's point of view as well. I then changed from my 9 to 5, Monday to Friday job and realised how the other half have to live.

    They won’t.

Leeds and Wednesday. That will be it I reckon (Unless we make the playoffs...)

The others you list will be B - unless we cut a reciprocal deal with any and make them a C.

There will be, I think, only two regular season games at cat A.

Huddersfield won’t be. They’ll most likely cut a cheap deal with them. Decent club.

    Leeds and Wednesday. Maybe Huddersfield.

    No other Cat A games.

Does an average home ticket price of £25 a game not get them through the door then?

We can carry on getting the same general support levels that we've had for the last 30 years, remain a medium sized club who can't afford to compete financially in our "natural" home.
Or we could take a long term view and actually try to grow the fan base by incentivising casual or new supporters.
And no, I don't think £25 is a reasonable price to get new supporters through the doors. It clearly doesn't work.

Evidence would suggest no as our ground is half empty every week.

3 of those definitely won't be Cat A.

    Not really though is it?

Understand the point you’re trying to make but that argument is a bit flawed considering we’ll be 80% sold out next season

It doesn't come to £25 when I do the maths on the 22 matches you seem to know about.
    2 CAT A = £72, 10 CAT B = £280 and 10 CAT C = £230.
    72 + 280 + 230 = 582
    582 / 22 = 26.45

I wasn’t expecting anyone to do the exact maths but an extra game for Cat C (as we’re likely agreeing 11 games) brings it close to £25. Again, nothing to moan about in my eyes.

Complain about pricing in football in general but the vitriol aimed at our club is way off the mark in my opinion

I don't know how you can be so sure about this anyway. They said the categorisation would be done in batches like before.
