I just love being told there's nothing to moan about, by someone who isn't going to pay those prices.

Complete guess work based on a bit of research on last season and two seasons ago, plus knowing who we have decent relationships with. But I’m confident I won’t be too far out - especially on Category A

But I’ve paid those prices in the past and not complained or moaned to the level being experienced here. If your circumstances determine you can’t get a season ticket, then I don’t begrudge £23 to £28 for a Championship game.

Cat A is ludicrous but that’s a Wednesday/Leeds/Football issue and the club had their hand forced

No they didn't and two wrongs don't make a right anyway. They are milking the cash cow of big away support, the tit for tat bit is just a convenient excuse. They made the Villa and Newcastle games £30 last time, despite our fans paying much less at their place.

That isn't the way you put it across. A bit naughty there Loko. You gave the impression you had inside knowledge.

Exactly. Our fans paid £25 at Villa.

He meant we paid much less at their ground.

By stating an opinion? Nah. Don’t think I did.

Was basically countering this notion that ticket pricing was outrageous and 6 or more games would be Category A

    Strange wording for an opinion.

The one team TBC is Huddersfield but from someone I know there rather than here.

The other ‘reality’ doesn’t suggest any inside info other than not going to the extreme of suggesting its all just ridiculously priced. Doesn’t take much to suggest Cat A will only be used for two teams.

Next season the following will fixture changes and/or form aside fetch a large following:

    Leeds
    Wednesday
    Huddersfield
    Hull
    Stoke
    WBA
    Derby
    Forest

I’d counter your suggestion that there will only be two maybe three cat A games...

I would say based on the £££ signs I wouldn’t be surprised if stoke an derby were cat A games. Especially Derby as its Boxing Day. Ca-ching.

Saying that with a bit of creativity it’s easily solved for the entire season.

I reckon there'll be at least half a dozen and possibly more depending on how well teams are doing who we play at home in March, April, May

Well have played anyone who’s anyone by the end of feb at home barring forest but yes I agree it’ll be pushing half a dozen Cat A games.

It’s WBA on Boxing Day but point stands. Ca-ching.

Pricing strategy tends to be agreed before the season starts with all clubs so I don’t think you’ll see it change based on how successful teams are come February.

We contact every team (as do other teams, obviously) and push the reciprocal pricing idea early and get it all agreed.

People call out Newcastle as an example of where we weren’t reciprocal, but they chose to discount that game to fill the ground rather than us put our ticketing pricing ahead of there’s.

I don't agree with that. If that was the case we'd release all prices now. The reason they're done in batches is to assess how we're doing, how the opposition are doing, and hence how big the game is going to be and how much we're able to get away with charging.

What reciprocal pricing actually means to a Barnsley fan:
When you went to watch Barnsley play at Leeds they charged you £38 admission. So we're going to charge you £38 to watch the return game at Oakwell. Because we like to be fair to our fans.

    Yeah, that's great, thanks a f*kcing bunch.
