Racism is a serious accusation and you should be certain before slinging that dirt at people for political gains You accused me of been a racist last month over a joke made about diane Abbott's maths which is something I defiantly aren't. Hope this helps.

Now what you mean mate, I think that Nish Kumar is as funny as tooth ache but I like Romesh Ranganathan, maybe every time Abbott comes up we ought to mention somebody of a similar origin that we do like or think isn't inept

I like the political posts. They can stimulate interesting discussion. Unfortunately they are being reduced to vitriolic slanging matches and personal vendettas and the forum is poorer as a result.

You started that argument by dragging me into your sordid little racist world I have no wish to engage with you. If you don’t like it as I said **** off.

Read the Guardian. How how of touch are you? no one reads newspapers anymore except you and your no doubt avid scanning of The Mail.

How ironic that someone who doesn’t live in England and picks and hasn’t done so for years feels qualified to discuss our political scene... please refrain from doing so in future.

I couldn’t care less about you or your life. I have no feelings either way about it. I find that people who troll others on the internet are usually saddos. But you may be just a nasty idiot I apologise if that is the case.

Anyhoo you can join Tyrone on ignore as I don’t wish to pollute the board with daft arguments with your sort of person.

I made a joke about her maths not skin coulor. It's like me going round accusing everyone who says thiam is a poor footballer as a racist. To call someone a racist is a serious accusation I know about the subject first hand. To call someone it for political point scoring is pathetic.

Perhaps Moscow wasn't the best example but the average annual wage in london is 4 times higher so i guess it's all relative.
With regards to the rising costs and our youngsters i will offer up another example. Many of my colleagues are in their early 20s. There are 2 who work alongside me on our ward. They are nursing assistants and their basic salary is 20,500£. This is boosted by unsocial hours pay (nights and weekends). This would take them to around 25k. Both these girls live with their parents. Both up now have had several overseas holidays with their pals this year. Every other weekend they are partying away in Liverpool, Manchester,London etc. Both regularly have botox. Both wear Vivienne Westwood shoes to work despite the fact we deal with ****, piss, blood and regularly have to restrain which often leads to said shoes getting scuffed ( i wear the cheapest clothing and footwear, usually from asda). Both disappear to the canteen on a regular basis to buy expensive fizzy drinks, crisps etc. There is free juice available on the ward and i have suggested they make a packed lunch when they tell me they are skint.
My niece had her first child 6 months ago. Prior to this she lived with her partner in a modern 2 bed house, rented for 500£ a month: both worked on low-wages. For some reason they have now moved into a house which costs them 620£ a month rental. He has just passed his test and got a car on finance for 280£ a month (why?) and is paying 180£ a month for the insurance. They have a tv that is twice the size of ours, an xbox and two contracted iphones. He takes home 1300£ a month and she is on mat leave: they will implode before their child reaches 1 year old.
So is it a cultural thing? There is no desire to save from any of the mentioned individuals or even any attempt to lead a more reasonable lifestyle. Is social media a big factor? Picture after picture after video of the exploits on their numerous jaunts at home and abroad.
I fully acknowledge that many young people struggle to make the break in life as a consequence of rising costs but clearly many are not willing to make the sacrifices necessary that would allow them the opportunity to do so. Our daughter and her partner get out maybe once a month, they have made the sacrifice and have 2 beautiful children who are being brought up in a wonderfully loving environment.

You failed to make a similar joke about the much worse gaffe made by Philip Hammond. Explain why.

It had nothing to do with race I can assure you. If the penny hasn't dropped yet and you haven't realised you have got it wrong, and you are wrongly accusing people of been racist then I'm out. Like I said I just think it's low to score political points.

Wow! Are you having some sort of personal crisis? Such anger and vitriol accusing so many of racism.

I will ask one more time... Please provide evidence that I am a racist.

Furthermore I will comment on the the UK political scene any time I feel and how dare you (your arrogance on display again) tell me to do otherwise. I have family in UK and so concern myself with keeping up to date with current affairs - especially as I can actually still vote. Finally, for someone as you said " "couldn’t care less about you or your life". I have no feelings either way about it." you seem very keen to engage with (and abuse me and others who do not agree with your PoV). As regards me being a "nasty idiot..... in a sordid little world"..."little Englander" and "hypocrite." .... remind me which of us made those comments. The latter seems far more appropriate when applied to yourself.
I admit to calling you an "arrogant pillock" (something I would say to your face if we were ever unfortunate enough to meet face to face) but that is a far cry from accusations of racism. Would you though, be prepared to stand in front of me and witnesses and state verbally what you have written about me on here? Thought not as you would be facing legal action and possibly facing criminal charges too.

Who's going to be the first to grow up and let it drop? This thread is, for the most part, an embarassing disgrace.

I am saying clearly that the joke is racist. Whether it is racist to repeat a joke that is racist if you don’t acknowledge that the joke is racist is hard to say.
