No Parky then?
Wigan fans have been watching too many 'Carry on' films I think....
"Infamy infamy they've all got it in(for)me!"
Talk about a persecution complex
Dickie Bird and Darren Gough will probably still side with Wigan!
Dickie Bird has been a Barnsley fan all his life & a season ticket holder for many a many year.
I dont understand why some people have this bizarre idea that Dickie isnt a Barnsley fan. Season ticket holder for years and gets just as involved in the games as any other normal fan.
But as a sideways point - he was always totally fair as an umpire and were he on the appeals committee he would put aside his Barnsley loyalties and make a fair decision based on the facts available
So have I, you’d never see me in Sheffield United colours.
Wearing a Sheffield Utd tie for a free dinner.
Dickie Bird, whatever you might think of him, has undisputedly been a Barnsley fan all his life. To suggest otherwise is utterly ridiculous.
Just hope the panel isn't Dave Whelan, Richard Ashcroft and a meat & potato pie.
Behave thi sen he wo pillocked rotten by rotten dee dars, bigger red than most of us.
Yeah, but Dickie can be bought by a free lunch.
When we reached the play-off final in 2000 a good mate of mine, who happens to be a Nottingham Forest supporter, came to the match with my family and me and for the occasion he borrowed a Barnsley shirt from me to wear at Wembley. I thought that it was a nice gesture. At no point then, or in the intervening 20 years, has it occurred to me that he perhaps secretly supports Barnsley.
